INFORMATION ABOUT THE DINETONITE NETWORK
The restaurants listed on the DineTonite Website took the opportunity to allow the DineTonite’s proprietary Electronic Reservation System to replace their traditional pen-and-paper reservation books. The same way, the DineTonite Websites pass pertinent information to the DineTonite System in individual restaurants that is required to secure or cancel online reservations, for example. However, individual restaurants cannot access any information from the DineTonite Websites. In some instances a restaurant may operate its own website and collect a myriad of diner/user information directly as part of the online reservation process. If this happens to be the case, only the information passed directly to the DineTonite Website to complete the transaction is stored by the DineTonite Website (e.g. diner name, phone and email address).
An online reservation may also be made through a restaurant’s website or via a DineTonite affiliate’s web link. Similarly, your personal information is passed through from these sites onto the DineTonite System. If you choose to make a reservation through these channels, you may not be entitled to receive certain benefits as you would as a Registered User through the DineTonite Website.
This document describes how DineTonite Website user information is collected, stored, used and, in specific instances, shared with restaurants via their DineTonite System.
INFORMATION YOU WILL NEED TO PROVIDE WHEN YOU USE THE DINE TONITE WEBSITES:
You can make restaurant reservations online using the DineTonite websites in the following way:

You may choose not to receive emails from dinetonite.in (and/or from dinetonite.in restaurant partners), marketing communications from DineTonite or from the restaurant at which you've made an online reservation, other than automated service messages pertaining to your reservation, request or dining survey. If you would like to change your email preferences please send us an e-mail and we will remove you from our e-mail list.
Some of our services may be offered in conjunction with partner companies, affiliates or other companies or websites with which we work. In order for us to provide these services to you, it may be necessary for us to share your personal information with one of such entities. These trusted partners are not allowed to use personally identifiable information except for the purpose of providing these services. If you do not want your data to be shared, you can choose not to allow the transfer by not using that particular service.
For select restaurants and/or holidays, a valid credit card number may be required to secure a reservation through the DineTonite Websites. All such credit card transactions are fully encrypted and certified by GoDaddy. DineTonite then passes the credit card information to the restaurant at which the reservation is being made, just as would occur with a phone reservation requiring credit card information. DineTonite does not record or store the credit card information, except for the last four digits of your credit card which are only used for descriptive purposes.
Dinetonite charges a fee in order to take advantage of the preferred reservation. A credit card number may be required for these purchases. All such credit card transactions are fully encrypted and certified by GoDaddy. The credit card number is passed directly to the merchant bank for processing. Dinetonite might give you the option to keep the card stored in your account for future purchases.
Users outside of the United States should understand that all information shared during the registration and reservation processes is sent to and stored on secure servers that are located in the United States. The United States has data protection laws that may not be consistent with those of other countries. If DineTonite transfers your information outside of your host country, DineTonite will take steps to ensure that your privacy rights continue to be protected.
If you choose to make an online reservation using dinetonite.in, it is required that you are a registered user of dinetonite.in and you will need to provide the requested reservation date and time along with the number of people in the party (for best results, make your reservation during the restaurant's regular hours of operation). The system will automatically provide your name, address, email address to the restaurant along with the reservation. The restaurant has the option to contact you about the reservation; this call may be recorded for training and quality control.
INFORMATION ACCESSIBLE TO RESTAURANTS:
When you make a restaurant reservation using the DineTonite Websites, your name, address, email address and telephone number are provided to that restaurant.
DineTonite will only share the information specified above with the restaurant at which you have made reservations using the DineTonite Websites. Restaurants cannot use their DineTonite System to access information pertaining to diners or dining histories from other restaurants, with the exception that restaurants under the same corporate ownership may elect to share diner information between restaurant properties.
EMAIL FROM DINETONITE:
DineTonite sends automated service messages pertaining to upcoming or recent restaurant reservations, such as confirmations, reminders, and/or invitations to provide diner feedback. While you cannot unsubscribe from all service messages, you may select not to receive future diner feedback invitation emails by sending us an e-mail requesting to be removed from the list at firstname.lastname@example.org
EMAIL PREFERENCES / OPT-OUT
We send out two types of emails: transactional and promotional. Our users are given the opportunity to "opt-out" of receiving promotional communications from dinetonite.in by sending an email with the information to update to email@example.com.
Transactional emails include registration, confirmation, account update, customer service, restaurant surveys and other communications that dinetonite.in needs to reach our customers concerning their account, requests or purchases. This does not include any promotional communications, such as sales or specials. You may not opt out of these transactional communications. These emails will all be sent from a DineTonite.in address.
Promotional emails are sent to customers who opted into our email list. These emails share exclusive sales and offers with our users and will be sent from firstname.lastname@example.org. If you are having trouble receiving these emails, first check your spam/junk folder. Occasionally emails can mistakenly end up in your spam/junk folder; it may help to add email@example.com to your address book. You can also email firstname.lastname@example.org and have us check to make sure you are still on the list (be sure to include your email address). If you have opted-in to receive promotional emails you may opt out of these promotional emails at any time by sending an email with a request to email@example.com.
CUSTOMER SERVICES CORRESPONDENCE
From time-to-time dinetonite.in may request information from users via surveys. Participation in these surveys, to the extent we run any, is completely voluntary and the user therefore has a choice whether or not to disclose this information. Information requested may include contact information (such as name and shipping address) and demographic information (such as zip code and age level). Survey information will be used for purposes of monitoring and/or improving the use and satisfaction of the Website.
RESTAURANT SURVEYS AND ACCESS TO INFORMATION
For purposes of allowing targeted marketing, restaurant owners are provided with access to the name and email information for each purchaser of a dinetonite.in dining certificate for their restaurant once that certificate has been validated. After you have used your dining certificate you may be invited to take a survey to provide feedback to the restaurant about your dining experience. These survey results will be provided to the restaurant. If you choose to leave comments the restaurant will be provided with your name and email address along with your comment so they may follow-up if necessary. If you would like to send comments to dinetonite.in you may send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org at anytime.
EMAIL FROM RESTAURANTS:
You may also consent to receive marketing communications from the restaurant at which you've made a reservation. DineTonite plays no role in the content, frequency, timing or unsubscribing process of any restaurant's marketing communications. If you would like to unsubscribe from a restaurant's marketing communications, please contact the appropriate restaurant directly.
